Logistics Warehouse Cleaning Arndell Park

Arndell Park 2148 exists because of where it sits. Minutes from the M4-M7 interchange and a short run down to the Eastern Creek freight precinct, it is one of the few pockets in Sydney where a national distribution centre can reach the whole basin inside an hour. That location is also why the buildings never really stop. Pro Clean Corp cleans third-party logistics sites, fulfilment centres and cross-docks here on rosters built around dispatch, not around us. Distribution buildings have their own cleaning problems

A manufacturing site gets dirty in a predictable place. A distribution centre gets dirty everywhere at once, because everything moves. The pick face changes weekly, the inbound profile changes with the season, and half the mess is packaging that was clean when it came off the trailer. These are the areas we scope separately on every Arndell Park 3PL site.

Pick faces and carton flow

Carton dust, label backing and broken product settle into the flow rails and the floor beneath. Vacuumed and wiped so scanners keep reading first time and stock does not sit in grit.

Cross-dock and staging

The highest traffic density in any DC. Machine-scrubbed on every floor visit because rubber and packaging film build up here faster than anywhere else in the building.

Inbound receiving bays

Pallet splinters, strapping and shrink wrap. Swept mechanically before scrubbing, with a bin placed at each bay so the crew is not walking waste across the floor.

Value-add and repack rooms

Often the only enclosed space in the building and the one customers ask about. Detail-cleaned including benches, bin stations and the tape and film consumables area.

Battery charging and MHE bays

Acid residue, water spillage and rubber. Cleaned with neutralising product and kept clear so the charge bay stays compliant and inspectable.

Chilled and ambient boundaries

The transition strip where a chilled room meets ambient floor sweats and grows mould. Treated on a set cycle rather than left until it becomes a food safety finding.

Built for peak season

Between October and January an Arndell Park DC can double its throughput and triple its casual headcount. Amenities that coped with sixty people now serve a hundred and eighty, and the floor takes twice the traffic. A contract written for a quiet July will fail in November.

Scalable rosters

Additional hours are agreed in advance at the same hourly rate, with a defined trigger point, so there is no emergency pricing conversation mid-peak.

Day-shift amenity runs

A dedicated daytime cleaner keeps toilets, crib rooms and the induction room serviced through the busy weeks rather than waiting for the night crew.

Post-peak reset

A full deep clean booked for the second half of January: high-level dust, full machine scrub, amenity strip and reseal, and the dock apron pressure washed.

What logistics managers ask before they sign

Can you work a seven-day roster to match our dispatch cycle?

Yes. Distribution sites rarely have a clean weekly rhythm, so we roster against your peaks instead of a fixed Monday-to-Friday pattern. A typical Arndell Park 3PL contract runs light amenity and office cleaning seven days, floor machine work on the two quietest nights, and a heavier reset on the Sunday when the pick face is at its lowest. Peak season rosters are agreed in writing before October so you are not renegotiating in November.

How do you clean around a live pick face without slowing the pickers?

By working aisle by aisle with an agreed exclusion. Your supervisor releases one aisle at a time, we cone it, scrub or vacuum it and hand it straight back, usually inside twenty minutes for a standard run. Nobody has to stand down and no pick path is closed for a whole shift. On very high-throughput sites we move entirely to the gap between the last pick and the first inbound instead.

Do you handle inbound bays, cross-dock areas and the trailer apron?

All three. Inbound bays collect pallet debris, broken shrink wrap and product spillage that ends up under a reach truck. Cross-dock floors get scrubbed on every machine visit because that is where the highest traffic density in the building sits. The trailer apron outside is pressure washed on a monthly or quarterly cycle, with the dock levellers, bumpers and seals cleaned at the same time.

What happens when a customer audit is called at short notice?

We hold a standing arrangement for audit-prep visits on our 3PL contracts. Give us twenty-four hours and we will put an extra crew on for high-level dust, walkway line restoration, amenity detail and a full machine scrub of the customer-visible zones. Because our stock and machinery are held locally in the Blacktown area we are not waiting on equipment to come across town.

Are your crews inducted for MHE traffic and do you carry industrial cover?

Every cleaner completes your materials handling equipment awareness induction before the first shift and works to your pedestrian segregation rules, including the use of designated walkways and crossing points. We carry twenty million dollars public liability, workers compensation and professional indemnity, and we supply a site-specific SWMS covering machine operation, chemical use and working near live MHE.
